To wrap up our anniversary week, we asked our mentor of being a “Woman Behind the Scenes” Mrs. Betty Gardner to write for us.
She has been a Mom, Friend, Mentor, Confidant and Role Model to all of us. Her dedication to serving Christ, through her service to her husband, family and ministries goes without compare. She is the true example of a Proverbs 31 woman, as she seeks to fulfill her purpose as a woman in ministry.
There is not a day that goes by that she isn’t counselling, baking something, cleaning something, looking for something or thinking of ways to bless someone. She has inspired us all, and we are honored to have her writing for us today.
Suffering Gracefully–Mrs Betty Gardner
As I watch and listen to these young ladies, I am totally amazed at the maturity I hear and witness on a weekly basis! As I sit here contemplating all of the things that have happened in their lives during the past year, it only shows me the power and grace of our loving Savior working in their lives and touching so many people through their testimonies. Facing such things as car accidents, diagnosis of life threatening diseases, lose of children, parents, friends and family, surgeries, wanting children but not being able to have them and saying goodbye to family and friends as they leave to go and serve on a foreign field, are just a few of the trials that have all been realities in the lives of these ladies that write on this amazing blog.
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for their personal walk with the Lord and the spiritual growth and encouragement that they have been to me. I have the privilege of calling these ladies my friends. I know them personally, and I am blessed beyond measure because of it. Many a tear has been shed and the question “Why?” has been asked, but each one of them knows that our God is loving and would only allow these events in our lives to strengthen our relationship with Him. Only heaven will reveal just how many people have been touched and helped through this ministry and through the testimonies that have come from each and every trial that they have faced.
Thank you “girls” (I’m the old lady of the bunch, so girls is appropriate coming from me) for helping me to see Christ in you. All of you are so amazing! I cherish our relationship with one another and look forward to growing closer to our Father as we face all of the trials and blessings that He has for us as we serve Him together for the rest of our lives 🙂
I Samuel 12:24 “Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.”
