Ok…. this originally wasn’t going to be part, but I feel it fits very well. And I will say Right away I am no expert on marriage as I have only been married a little over a year. But…
4) “Don’t date the stupid boy!”- Amy Coffey 🙂
Amy Coffey, missionary to South Africa just recently said this. This is true. Well how do you know which ones are the stupid ones? Sometimes you don’t. You trust God, because he does. As I sat in a car with Missionary Lori Bassham, I was at a time in my life where I was confused and wasn’t sure what I was supposed to be doing. And this is what she told me, “it will come when you least expect it. You wont be looking for a husband, You will be complete in God and knowing He is all you need, and out of nowhere he will bring your husband.” And I have to say this is exactly what happened for me, and the more I talk with other people, I find this is a lot of their stories as well. I was at the point where I was happy being single and serving Jesus! And then God brought Kyle in my life. Did I want to be married? Of course! That desire never went away. I just realized that if God gave me that desire he would fullfill it in HIS timing, but if he didn’t he was all I needed. (I attached a link on this subject, to a really good blog post a friend of mine recently found. I really encourage you to read it.)
So your surrendered and serving. Well just keep it up and buckle your seatbelt, because serving Christ is a blast! And remember, HIS dreams are way bigger than you could ever imagine.
HIS Servant,
Hannah 🙂
